FIEKE KLAASSEN - senior lecturer
Fieke decides to follow the Ashtanga Yoga Training in 2009 to deepen her own yoga practice, but also to be able to apply aspects of it in her work as a trainer and coach. As a trainer/coach she guides people and organizations in the field of communication, cooperation and awareness. After the training she is asked to come and teach at De Yoga Studio in Eindhoven and the yoga studio in Weert. What first started as teaching yoga one evening a week quickly grew into more.
Nowadays she owns De Yoga Studio, she is affiliated as a senior teacher with the YOga Training of De Yoga Studio and she keeps her knowledge and skills as a trainer and coach up to date by regularly guiding training and coaching programs in the field of of personal and team development.

She has been privileged to receive many international guest teachers in the studio and to study and assist with them. Such as Nancy Gilgolf, David Swenson, Petri Raisanen, Ken the Rolfer, Lucia  Andrade, Laruga Glaser, Sonja Radvilla, and Luke Jordan.
A skiing accident and broken ankle forced her to cancel her first trip to Mysore. Six months later, after surgery and rehabilitation, she was still on the mat with Sharath Jois and she knows from her own experience how healing the practice can be on both a physical and mental level. Several trips to her teacher Sharath Jois n Mysore followed.
She also regularly follows other in-depth courses in the field of systemic work (family and organizational constellations), NLP, Transactional Analysis, Voice Dialogue and is a mindfulness trainer and regularly participates in intervision groups and receives supervision.

She enjoys translating the philosophy of yoga into everyday practice using evidence-based Western methods for personal and professional development.

SYLVIA PASVEER - senior lecturer

For Sylvia, yoga came her way after the birth of her second son. She needed time for herself.

"Not just moving for an hour, but getting out of the running and care mode and feeling how I'm doing, to myself and to relax. The first form of yoga I came into contact with was Ashtanga Yoga. I enjoyed (and I still do) of the peace it brought me.Because the asanas have a fixed order, eventually you don't think about it anymore and you can turn inwards. After a while I decided to join a Yin Yoga class. That was not easy. The poses were uncomfortable but wonderful, especially the moment you leave the pose. I found it much more difficult to be in the same position for a longer period of time and to keep my attention to myself as much as possible. Both forms have remained in my life for the following years. A few years ago I found out that working 32 hours in an office didn't make me happy. I was too busy racing and too little busy with what I really liked and important. That had to change and I decided to follow my heart. I've been teaching yoga ever since and I'm still very happy every day that I dared to make that decision."

LAURA ALTEVEER - anatomy teacher

Around her 30th birthday, Laura decides to change course and start living healthier and more consciously. Yoga, mindfulness and meditation help her with that. For Laura it results in less stress, more self-confidence and more energy and it tasted like more.

That is why she follows various international yoga workshops and courses and in 2012 she successfully completes the 200 hrs Ashtanga Yoga Intensive Training in Eindhoven.

Thai Yoga Massage Therapist
In 2011 she had already become acquainted with Thai Yoga Massaga and that was love at first sight for her. That is why she started in 2013 with the 3-year HBO course to become a Naturopathic Thai Massage Therapist at Thai Dee. Since she completed the training in 2016, she has been running her own successful Thai Yoga Massage practice in Weert and has also had her own yoga studio for a number of years. She is a teacher at the Yoga training at De Yoga Studio and Thai Dee.

We are very happy that Laura, with her anatomical knowledge gained and further deepened in the Thai Yoga Massage training and many workshops that followed, is part of our team of teachers. She helps you on your way in the field of anatomical knowledge. Because she is also a yoga practitioner herself, she can discuss the anatomy in a much more specific way, which is relevant for the yoga practice and for a future yoga teacher. And besides that, Laura is just a very nice and warm person.
